API Terms of Service
Version: 1.0
Effective Date: 11 Oct 2026
Service Provider: Architechpro OÜ
Terms URL: https://architechpro.com/pages/terms-of-service
1. Scope, Acceptance, and Order of Precedence
1.1. These API Access Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the application programming interface ("API") provided by Architechpro OÜ ("Provider", "we", "us", or "our") in connection with the Shopify application (the "App").
1.2. API credentials are issued by the Provider upon request by a merchant that has installed the App, or by its authorized representative ("Merchant", "you", or "your").
1.3. The Merchant accepts these Terms by expressly agreeing to them before receiving API credentials, including by ticking an acceptance checkbox, signing an agreement, or confirming acceptance in writing. Where the Merchant is a legal entity, the individual accepting these Terms represents that they are authorized to bind that entity.
1.4. The Provider may record the date and time of acceptance, the accepting user, the relevant store, and the version of these Terms accepted. The Merchant must be given an opportunity to review these Terms before accepting them.
1.5. The API is intended for business use. The Merchant represents that it is accessing the API in connection with its business activities. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory legal protections where they apply.
1.6. These Terms supplement the App's Terms of Service available at https://architechpro.com/pages/terms-of-service and the Privacy Policy available at https://architechpro.com/pages/privacy-policy. If these Terms conflict with the App Terms on a matter specifically relating to API access, these Terms prevail, unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by mandatory law.
1.7. Any applicable Data Processing Addendum ("DPA") governs the parties' respective obligations concerning personal data processing within its scope. Nothing in these Terms overrides mandatory data protection requirements or Shopify's applicable terms and policies.
2. License and Permitted Use
2.1. Subject to these Terms, the Provider grants the Merchant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the API during the term of these Terms solely for authorized business purposes relating to the Merchant's Shopify store or stores on which the App is installed.
2.2. The Merchant may authorize its employees, contractors, agencies, and service providers to use the API on its behalf where necessary for the permitted purposes. The Merchant is responsible for ensuring that such persons and systems are appropriately authorized and comply with these Terms.
2.3. The Merchant must not:
(a) use the API for unlawful purposes or in violation of Shopify's applicable terms, policies, or API requirements;
(b) access or attempt to access stores, data, accounts, or systems for which it lacks authorization;
(c) sell, rent, transfer, or sublicense API credentials, or otherwise provide unauthorized API access to third parties;
(d) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the API or App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
(e) interfere with, overload, or disrupt the API or the systems supporting it, including by circumventing applicable rate limits or security restrictions; or
(f) use the API in a manner that infringes third-party rights or violates applicable law.
2.4. The Provider may establish and update reasonable technical restrictions, permission scopes, and usage limits. The Merchant must comply with the limits applicable to its API access and must not attempt to circumvent them.
2.5. The Provider and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the API, the App, and the related documentation. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms or otherwise agreed in writing.
2.6. The Provider may use feedback provided by the Merchant concerning the API without restriction or payment obligations, provided that this does not grant the Provider rights in the Merchant's confidential information or personal data.
3. API Credential Security
3.1. The Merchant is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of all API credentials issued to it.
3.2. API credentials must be used exclusively in secure server-side environments. They must never be embedded in or exposed through client-side code, Shopify theme code, browser applications, mobile applications, publicly accessible files, public source-code repositories, URLs, browser storage, logs accessible to unauthorized persons, or any other location where unauthorized persons could obtain them.
3.3. The Merchant must store credentials securely, restrict access to authorized personnel and systems that require them, and implement appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized disclosure, access, or use.
3.4. Where credentials with different permission levels are available, the Merchant should use the minimum permissions necessary for each integration.
3.5. The Merchant must notify the Provider without undue delay, and in any event no later than 24 hours after discovering or reasonably suspecting, any unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, compromise, or misuse of API credentials, or any security incident that may affect API access or data processed through the API. Notification must be sent to contact@architechpro.com. The Merchant must not delay notification while investigating the incident.
3.6. Following a suspected or confirmed security incident, the Merchant must promptly take reasonable steps to contain the incident, prevent further unauthorized access, and revoke or rotate affected credentials where technically possible and appropriate. The Merchant must reasonably cooperate with the Provider in investigating and mitigating the incident.
3.7. The Merchant is responsible, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for activity performed using its credentials by the Merchant or persons and systems acting on its behalf. This provision does not automatically make the Merchant responsible for activity resulting from the Provider's own breach of these Terms or other conduct for which the Provider is legally responsible.
3.8. The Provider may suspend or revoke API credentials without prior notice where reasonably necessary to address a security risk, prevent unauthorized activity, protect the API or related systems, or comply with legal obligations. Where reasonably practicable, the Provider will notify the Merchant of the suspension or revocation.
4. Store Data and API Operations
4.1. The API may enable the creation, retrieval, modification, synchronization, and deletion of data and resources associated with the Merchant's Shopify store, as described in the API documentation. These resources may include course-related data, lessons, enrollments, student progress, products, customer records, and related information, depending on the functionality exposed by the API.
4.2. API requests may modify or delete data, trigger automated processes, affect connected systems, send notifications, change access permissions, or produce consequences beyond the immediate API response.
4.3. The Merchant is responsible for all API requests it initiates or authorizes, including requests made by its personnel, contractors, agencies, scripts, integrations, automation systems, and other third parties acting on its behalf.
4.4. Before executing an API operation, the Merchant must verify the accuracy, scope, authorization, and intended consequences of the request, including the relevant store, records, identifiers, and data fields. The Merchant should test integrations in a development or test environment before using them on a live store.
4.5. API operations may take effect immediately and may result in permanent or irreversible changes or deletions. Deleted, overwritten, or modified data may not be recoverable. The Provider does not guarantee that any operation can be reversed or that affected data can be restored.
4.6. The Merchant is responsible for maintaining appropriate backups, exports, audit records, and recovery procedures for data important to its business.
4.7. The Provider is not obligated to reverse, repair, or manually correct API operations or restore deleted or overwritten data where those operations were initiated or authorized by the Merchant or persons or systems acting on its behalf.
4.8. If the App provides a recovery or restoration feature, that feature is subject to its documented functionality and limitations and does not guarantee that all affected data can be recovered.
4.9. At the Merchant's request, the Provider may, at its discretion, attempt to recover or correct data affected by API operations. Any such assistance may be subject to separately agreed fees and does not guarantee a successful result. Nothing in this section excludes obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4.10. The Provider may maintain technical logs of API requests made using the Merchant's credentials. Such logs may be used to investigate incidents and establish the history of API activity, subject to applicable law and the parties' rights to challenge their accuracy or interpretation.
4.11. The Provider is not responsible for losses resulting from incorrect, incomplete, duplicate, unauthorized, or unintended requests initiated by the Merchant or persons or systems acting on its behalf, except to the extent that the losses result from the Provider's own conduct or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
5. Personal Data
5.1. The API may process personal data relating to the Merchant's customers, students, employees, or other individuals.
5.2. Each party is responsible for complying with the data protection obligations applicable to its role and activities. The parties' roles as controller, processor, or otherwise must be determined according to the actual processing activities and applicable law.
5.3. Where the Provider processes personal data on behalf of the Merchant as a processor, the parties must enter into or otherwise be bound by an appropriate DPA satisfying the requirements of applicable data protection law, including Article 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation where applicable.
5.4. The Merchant is responsible for ensuring that its collection, use, transfer, modification, and deletion of personal data through the API are lawful, properly authorized, and supported by an appropriate legal basis where required.
5.5. The Merchant must comply with applicable privacy and data protection requirements and Shopify's applicable requirements concerning protected customer data.
5.6. Nothing in these Terms permits either party to process personal data in a manner prohibited by applicable law, the applicable DPA, or Shopify's applicable terms and policies.
6. Third-Party Services and Dependencies
6.1. The API may interact with or depend on Shopify, hosting providers, and other third-party services.
6.2. The Provider does not control third-party services and does not guarantee their availability, functionality, performance, or continued compatibility with the API.
6.3. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider is not responsible for interruptions, failures, changes, or losses attributable to third-party services, except to the extent that the relevant loss results from the Provider's own conduct or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
6.4. The Merchant is responsible for ensuring that its own integrations, scripts, and automation systems are properly configured, validated, and monitored and do not cause unintended, excessive, or destructive API requests.
7. API Availability, Changes, and Suspension
7.1. The Provider does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every system, or any particular business outcome.
7.2. The Provider may modify, update, restrict, suspend, or discontinue API functionality, including endpoints, supported operations, data formats, permission scopes, and usage limits.
7.3. Where reasonably practicable, the Provider will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes that are not backward-compatible and are expected to significantly affect the Merchant's use of the API. A shorter notice period may apply where reasonably necessary because of security risks, legal requirements, changes imposed by Shopify, or other circumstances beyond the Provider's reasonable control.
7.4. The Provider may suspend or restrict API access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, prevention of abuse, protection of systems, or enforcement of these Terms. The Provider will provide notice in advance where practicable, unless doing so would create a security risk, facilitate abuse, or conflict with legal requirements.
8. Fees
8.1. API access is provided according to the Merchant's applicable App subscription plan or any separate written agreement between the parties.
8.2. Any additional fees specifically applicable to API access or optional recovery services must be disclosed and agreed in advance where required by applicable law or the relevant agreement.
8.3. Where API access is included in an App subscription, its availability may depend on the Merchant maintaining an eligible subscription.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
9.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the API is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability.
9.2. The Provider does not warrant that the API will meet the Merchant's specific requirements, operate without errors or interruptions, prevent data loss, or ensure the successful completion or reversibility of any operation.
9.3. The Provider does not guarantee that data affected by API operations can be restored or recovered by the Provider, Shopify, or any third party.
9.4. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, representation, or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, anticipated savings, or business interruption arising out of or relating to these Terms or the API.
10.2. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider shall not be liable for losses attributable to:
(a) the Merchant's failure to protect API credentials or comply with security requirements;
(b) API requests initiated or authorized by the Merchant or its personnel, contractors, agencies, integrations, or automation systems, including requests made using credentials compromised while under the Merchant's control;
(c) accidental, incorrect, duplicate, or unintended creation, modification, overwriting, or deletion of data resulting from such requests;
(d) the Merchant's failure to maintain appropriate backups or recovery procedures;
(e) acts, omissions, outages, changes, or failures of Shopify or other third-party services; or
(f) the Merchant's breach of these Terms or applicable law.
These exclusions apply only to the extent the relevant loss is attributable to the circumstances described above and do not exclude liability for the Provider's own conduct where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
10.3. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the API shall not exceed the greater of:
(a) the fees paid by the Merchant to the Provider for the App during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; and
(b) EUR 100.
If the parties have entered into a separate written agreement establishing a different liability cap, that cap applies to the extent of the agreed scope and subject to applicable law.
10.4. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability for intentional breach of an obligation and other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
10.5. The limitations in this section apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. If any limitation is unenforceable, it shall apply to the maximum extent legally permissible without affecting the remaining provisions.
11. Indemnification
11.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Merchant shall indemnify the Provider against third-party claims, liabilities, losses, and reasonable legal expenses to the extent arising from:
(a) the Merchant's unlawful use of the API;
(b) the Merchant's material breach of these Terms;
(c) the Merchant's unlawful or unauthorized processing or disclosure of personal data; or
(d) the Merchant's violation of third-party rights.
11.2. The Merchant shall not be required to indemnify the Provider to the extent a claim results from the Provider's own breach of these Terms or conduct for which the Provider is legally responsible.
11.3. The Provider shall notify the Merchant within a reasonable time of any claim for which it seeks indemnification and provide reasonable cooperation. The Merchant may not settle a claim in a manner that imposes an obligation or admission on the Provider without the Provider's prior written consent.
12. Term, Suspension, and Termination
12.1. These Terms apply from the date of acceptance until terminated.
12.2. API access may be deactivated when the App is uninstalled, the Merchant's eligible subscription ends, the relevant store is closed, or the Provider otherwise terminates access in accordance with these Terms. The actual deactivation of credentials may depend on the applicable technical process.
12.3. The Merchant may stop using the API at any time and may request revocation of its credentials through the App settings, where available, or by contacting support@architechpro.com.
12.4. The Provider may terminate API access on 30 days' notice or immediately where reasonably necessary because of a material breach of these Terms, a security risk, a legal requirement, or a requirement imposed by Shopify.
12.5. Upon termination or revocation of API access, the Merchant must stop using the affected credentials and securely remove them from systems where they are no longer required.
12.6. Termination does not affect rights or obligations accrued before termination. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 14, and 15, shall survive to the extent permitted by applicable law.
13. Changes to These Terms
13.1. The Provider may update these Terms from time to time. The current version and its effective date will be published at https://architechpro.com/pages/terms-of-service.
13.2. The Provider will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes where reasonably practicable, unless an earlier change is reasonably necessary because of legal requirements, security risks, or requirements imposed by Shopify.
13.3. Where required by applicable law, the Provider will obtain the Merchant's affirmative acceptance of revised Terms before applying them to continued API access.
13.4. Where revised Terms require acceptance, the Merchant may decline them and stop using the API before the revised Terms take effect for that Merchant.
13.5. Nothing in this section allows the Provider to amend these Terms retroactively where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
14.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, subject to applicable mandatory law.
14.2. Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Estonia, subject to mandatory jurisdictional requirements.
15. General
15.1. Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the App Terms, the Privacy Policy, any applicable DPA, and any other documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between the parties concerning API access, subject to any separately agreed written terms.
15.2. Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, it shall be applied to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
15.3. No waiver. A failure or delay in enforcing any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
15.4. Assignment. The Merchant may not assign these Terms without the Provider's prior written consent, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law. The Provider may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, reorganization, or transfer of the business or assets relating to the App, subject to applicable law.
15.5. Force majeure. Neither party shall be liable for delay or failure to perform an obligation to the extent caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, subject to applicable law. This provision does not exclude obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15.6. Notices. The Provider may send notices to the email address associated with the Merchant's store or App account, or through the App. Notices to the Provider must be sent to the contact details in Section 16. Notices shall be treated as received in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of delivery.
15.7. Language. These Terms are drafted in English. If translated, the English version shall prevail to the extent permitted by applicable law.
15.8. Independent parties. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between the parties.

(a) use the API for unlawful purposes or in violation of Shopify's applicable terms, policies, or API requirements;

(d) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the API or App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;

(a) the Merchant's failure to protect API credentials or comply with security requirements;
(b) API requests initiated or authorized by the Merchant or its personnel, contractors, agencies, integrations, or automation systems, including requests made using credentials compromised while under the Merchant's control;
(c) accidental, incorrect, duplicate, or unintended creation, modification, overwriting, or deletion of data resulting from such requests;
(d) the Merchant's failure to maintain appropriate backups or recovery procedures;
(a) the Merchant's unlawful use of the API;
(b) the Merchant's material breach of these Terms;
